Yellow boot terrarium
Timberland is celebrating the 40th aniversary of it's yellow boot and I was invited to transform a pair of their fantastic boots. I liked the idea of keeping the boot as natural as posible and making a landscape out of it...
this time of cowboys!
I choose succulent plants and little stones in the shape of rocks to create a desert like landscape. With the cutter I made some wholes and I filled the boot with cactus earth.
After I painted little horse figures and cowboys with white paint. I have used chalk paint as it sticks very well to plastic, also because it is very environmental friendly and because I love it's matt finish that makes the figures look like porcelain.
Finally I made a couple of crumpled paper clouds out of onion skin paper. I tighed them to a wooden stick and hung them over the boots and voilà...the cowboy landscape was finished.

While making these boots for Timberland I have got to know this company a bit closer and I was positively surprised by their philosophy and their commitment with the environment which I like to share with you as it can be inspring for others. You will find more information here.
