Little Tatiana / La pequeña Tatiana

Nadya Sheremet es uno de esos pequeños tesoros con los que topas entre todas las cuentas de Instagram. La delicadeza de sus puntadas y la poesía de sus piezas me cautivaron desde el primer momento en que las vi. Con sus manos, hilos y agujas Nadya es capaz de transmitir historias impregnadas de amor. Esta mujer, ucraniana de origen, madre de dos niños me ha robado el corazón. Tan solo con echarle un vistazo a sus publicaciones decidí contactar con ella y pedirle que hiciera una muñeca de mí. Y aquí está... La pequeña Tatiana.

Nadya Sheremet is one of these treasures that you find one day online or on Instagram. Her poetic stitches and delicacy have captivated me from the moment I first saw them. With her hands, thread and needles she tells stories impregnated with love. This Ukrainian born woman and mother of two small children has won my heart. I saw her posting little embroidered dolls and I decided to write her and ask if she would make a doll of myself. And here is ...Little Tatiana.

Cuando abrí el paquete ayer y, finalmente, pude ver la muñeca, casi me pongo a llorar... y es que casi ha tardado un mes en llegar desde Rusia. Su abuelo de origen ucraniano era pintor y, como explica en su blog Family Toys, solía pasar horas con él dibujando paisajes. Su abuela le enseñó sus primeras puntadas de bordado. Siempre he pensado que es importante que los niños pasen tiempo con sus abuelos y que es la mejor manera de transmitir las tradiciones y el conocimiento de generación en generación y esta es, sin duda, una bella prueba de ello.

It almost made me cry when I opened the package yesterday, which has taken almost one month to come all the way from Rusia to Spain!!  Her Ukrainian grandfather was a painter and as she explains at her blog Family Toys, how they spent time together drawing landscapes. Her grandmother showed her how to do the first embroidery stitches. This makes me think about how important is for kids to be with their grandparents and how traditions and knowledge are past from generation to generation in such a beautiful way.

Me encanta el bordado que Nadya ha realizado en el vestido, ideal para una amante de las agujas como yo. No podía haber elegido un dibujo mejor. 

I love the embroidery on the dress that Nadya did for a knitting lover like me. She could not have chosen a better motif. 

¿No os parece deliciosa la forma en la que el pajarito se posa en el nido y en la punta de mis dedos? Nadya ha bordado otro pájaro en un broche que sirve de accesorio para la chaqueta. Aún estoy boquiabierta por todos esos pequeños detalles y por cómo se parece a mí la pequeña Tatiana :). ¡Gracias, Nadya, por tu bello trabajo!

Isn't it cute how the little bird sits in the nest or rests on my fingers? Another small embroidered bird is a tiny pin she did as accessorize on the jacket.  I am absolutely drawn by all these little details and how much Little Tatiana looks alike the real and older one :).  Thank you Nadya for your beautiful work!
