The Sheltering sky is an Alpaca Silk lace yarn naturally dyed with indigo at Open Studio 79 in Mallorca.

Drape and elegance are the characteristics of this lace yarn. Knit it as it is into a beautiful lace shawls or combined with a fingering weight yarn.

• Lace weight

• 70% Kid Mohair / 30% Silk

• 100 g - 600 m

• Suggested Needle size: 2.5 - 3.5 mm / US 1.5 - 4

• Hand wash at cool temperature. Dry flat out of direct sunshine

• Store yarn skein in a dark place until use. Natural colors may shift their color and intensity with time.

• Our indigo dyed yarns have been rinsed several times, neutralized with vinegar, washed with soap and rinsed again. It may happen though that your fingers or needles get stained blue while knitting. This is called crocking and it is the excess particles of dye which rub off. It will not affect your finished piece or color work as indigo is only able to dye in a reduced stare and vat.
