Mis patrones / My pattern
Me encanta observar la textura y el color de las madejas que llenan las estanterías de OPENstudio79. Cada una de ellas tiene su propio carácter y expresión. Cuando las observo o las tengo entre las manos me imagino cómo quedarían con diferentes texturas y formas. Intento esbozar cómo quedaría una pieza o una prenda tejida o investigo en libros vintage para encontrar el punto perfecto para cada lana.

. También hay algunas imágenes que se quedan grabadas en mi cabeza al contemplar la naturaleza, una obra de arte o un edificio y que, de repente, aparecen y pasan a formar parte del proceso creativo. La forma de una hoja, los colores del musgo, el movimiento de las olas, una pincelada en un cuadro o el dibujo de una baldosa pueden acabar formando parte de un patrón... algunas veces incluso sin ni siquiera pretenderlo.

I love to observe the texture and color of the yarn that fill the shelves of OPENstudio79. Each has it's own character and expression. While looking at them or holding in my hands I imagine how it could perform with a certain texture and shape. I try to sketch how the knitted piece or garment would look like and go through vintage books trying to find the right stitch for it.
That is how most of the pattern that I have designed were born
. Then there are also certain images in my mind captured while contemplating nature, art or architecture, that show up and become part of the creative process. The shape of a leave, the colors of the moss, the movement of the waves, a brushstroke on a painting or the pattern of a tile on a floor can all become part of a pattern,... sometimes even in an unintended way.
